Longan and Fennel2013-01-10

 

approximately 4 servings

 

Ingredients
1 bunch of fennel
½ bowl of dry longan

 

Condiments
1 tbsp. grated ginger
½ tsp. black sesame oil

 

Steps
1. Wash the fennel and cut into 1 cm. long pieces.

2. Bring water to a boil. Add dry longan and cook under low heat for 15 minutes.

3. Heat black sesame oil in a pan. Add grated ginger. Add fennel and stir gently. Add the mixture into Step 2. Cook for another 5 minutes and serve.

 

Information
Fennel emits a special fragrance and taste a bit sweet and spicy. The leaves are edible and can aid the flow of energy, strengthen stomach, disperse coldness, and alleviate pain.
