Avocado Tofu2013-04-14

 approximately 4 servings

Ingredients
½ avocado
½ package of silken tofu

Condiments
1 tbsp. sesame and seaweed soybean floss (can be found in Asian supermarkets)
½ tsp. soy sauce paste

Steps
1. Blanch silken tofu, let cool, and cut into cubes. Place tofu cubes on a plate. Peel the avocado, cube it, and put the avocado on top of the tofu. Pour soy sauce paste on top of it and sprinkle the sesame seaweed mixture. Serve.

Tip
Make the dish right before serving; or at the very least, do not add the condiments until right before it is to be eaten. Otherwise, water from the tofu will make the seaweed soggy.

Information
Avocadoes contain vegetable fat, proteins, carotene, and vitamin B complexes, as well as vitamins C and E, fiber, and minerals. Unsaturated fatty acids and high density lipoproteins (HDL) HDL can lower cholesterol levels and prevent coronary artery disease. Avocadoes also contain antioxidants and are good for the skin and help to decrease the effects of the aging process. Therefore, the Guinness World Records ranks avocadoes as highest in nutritional value.
