Celery and Tomato Soup2013-01-10

 

approximately 4 – 6 servings


Ingredients
2 tomatoes
1 tbsp. shredded celery

 

Condiments
A little bit of sea salt and sugar

 

Steps
1. Wash tomatoes and slice into thin pieces.

2. Boil water. Add tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes under low heat. Add celery and sea salt. Stir and serve.


Information
Celery is heavy in stalk, crispy, and less grainy. It contains high phosphorus and calcium. If eaten often, it is good for hypertension, vascular sclerosis, neurasthenia, and rickets in children. The aroma of celery can boost appetite. Chinese medicine classifies celery as having a bitter but pleasant taste and being cold in nature. It is good for the liver and stomach, and can lower blood pressure.
